INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY OF AUTOMATION
The International Society of Automation (ISA) formerly known as The Instrumentation, Systems, and Automation Society is a non-profit technical society for engineers, technicians, businesspeople, educators and students, who work, study or are interested in industrial automation and pursuits related to it, such as instrumentation. It was originally known as the Instrument Society of America. The society is more commonly known by its acronym, ISA, and the society's scope now includes many technical and engineering disciplines. ISA is one of the foremost professional organizations in the world for setting standards and educating industry professionals in automation. Instrumentation and automation are some of the key technologies involved in nearly all industrialized manufacturing. Modern industrial manufacturing is a complex interaction of numerous systems. Instrumentation provides regulation for these complex systems using many different measurement and control devices. Automation provides the programmable devices that permit greater flexibility in the operation of these complex manufacturing systems.
ISIE - INDIAN SOCIETY OF INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEERS
"Indian Society of Instrumentation Engineers" is a non-profit Educational Society in India updating vital information in field of Engineering and Technology. ISIE is established in Madras in 1990 and is being sponsored and supported by various professional membership organizations, Societies, Institutions, Industries & others. The ISIE represents the many faces of Engineering rather than any one specialization and is appropriate for all Engineering Professionals throughout their working life.
INSTRUMENT SOCIETY OF INDIA
The Society of Instrumentation professionals was established in the year 1970, with head quarters at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Today it has six chapters at Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Dehradun and Pune. It strives to act as a link between academic institutions and the instrumentation industry, by organising several programs. It also conducts programs for students and working professionals in the form of short term courses, symposia and topical reviews.
IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society
The IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society is dedicated to the development and use of electrical and electronic instruments and equipment to measure, monitor and/or record physical phenomena. The fields of interest include metrology, analog and digital electronic instruments, systems and standards for measuring and recording electrical quantities (in both frequency and time domains), instrumentation and transducers for measurement of non-electrical variables, calibration and uncertainty, instruments with automated control and analysis functions, safety instrumentation, and new technology applications.
With scientific, literary, and educational concerns, the Society seeks to promote a high level of technical excellence by encouraging close cooperation and exchange of information among its members. It sponsors and supports conferences and publications, and through its committees, responds to the needs of the membership.
The IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society is also an active membership, sharing the same profession and interest, learning firsthand of developing technologies, and uncovering opportunities for personal professional development.
Instrumentation and Measurement Society Governance and StructureThe Society is organized and operated according to the following rules, approved by members and the IEEE.
