National Institute of Oceanography (CSIR-NIO), Ocean Research Institute of the Council for Scientific Industrial Research (CSIR), has invited applications for doctoral (PhD) studies in oceanography.
Eligibility :
MSc (any field of specialization) with CSIR-UGC NET JRF / SRF / DST-INSPIRE or BE / BTECH / ME / MTECH with valid GATE score or any other equivalent National Fellowship awardees and Project Assistants of CSIR-NIO with 2 years research experience and one SCI publication are eligible to apply.

Project Assistants from CSIR-NIO wishing to apply should submit a Statement of Purpose (SOP) and recommendation of the Guide (Project Leader with whom the student is presently working as Project Assistant) directly to Head HRD-SAC & AcSIR-Coordinator, National Institute of Oceanography, Dona Paula, Goa-403 004. Selection will be through an interview of shortlisted applicants.
